AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi on Monday said that the Israeli government has “crossed all red lines” and violated all international laws in its war against the Gaza Strip.

During an interview with Al Mamlaka TV, Safadi said “the worst is yet to come” as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, saying, “Israel turning a deaf ear to the world and Jordan will continue exposing the false Israeli narrative".

“Jordan is explaining to the world that what Israel is doing is not self-defence but war crimes. It is a destructive and barbaric war not only in terms of the large-scale suffering and humanitarian catastrophe unfolding but also in terms of the devastating repercussions on regional peace and security,” Safadi said.

The top diplomat also said that Jordan is working with its partners to warn against the grave consequences of the Israeli actions on the region’s stability and security.

He also said that the international community’s silence and inaction on the Israeli war on Gaza has but one clear meaning: “The International law and humanitarian standards only apply according to the identity of the perpetrator and the victim.”

"Jordan delivered clear messages to the world which started to realise the gravity of what Israel is doing. What Jordan is saying is the truth, depicting the situation as is.”

The minister said that the international position has “changed noticeably” and the reason for that is "the ugly and horrible Israeli crimes" against the Palestinian people.

“It is known to the world that Jordan represents the voice of peace and reason. His Majesty King Abdullah has said it clearly that what Israel is doing is a war crime that is pushing the region into abyss.”

Safadi said that the international stance on the ongoing war against Gaza has started to shift “because Israel’s ability to face reality has diminished and Jordan has everything possible to expose the Israeli narrative”.

Safadi warned that Israel's crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank would lead to more escalation, adding, “Jordan in all communications with the international community is calling for the implementation of international law.”

“The failure of the UN Security Council to take a decision until now means that the war will continue because Israel is above the law.”

Safadi said that Jordan rejects any plan to separate Gaza from the West bank, saying such scheme would pose serious threat to the envisioned Palestinian state.

He explained that Israel is trying to push all people in Gaza to the south and surround them in just 56 per cent of the total area of the besieged coastal enclave.

“The area has no infrastructure, services or hospitals to accommodate all Gazans,” he noted.

Safadi wrote on X (formerly twitter), "Israel crossed every legal, ethical and humanitarian red line in its barbaric war on Gazans. Yet international community and its key organizations have failed to even demand a ceasefire. Message to the region: Identity of aggressor and victim determines applicability of international law."
