AMMAN — Upon directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, on Saturday met with a number of dignitaries of Central Badia in the presence of His Majesty's Adviser for Tribal Affairs, Atef Hajaya.

The meeting was aimed to follow up on the requests made during His Majesty’s visit to the Northern Badia on October 4 and address other needs of the people of the Badia, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The demands of the people of Central Badia, which were presented to His Majesty the King, focused on improving services and living conditions in the Central Badia regions.

During these meetings, which were held at the Royal Hashemite Court, Issawi stressed that His Majesty, during his meeting with people in Central Badia, necessitated communicating and following up on all issues of concern as well as proposals to meet people’s needs, provide quality services, job opportunities and improve living conditions.

He emphasised that the Royal Hashemite Court will work in coordination and cooperation with the government and the Jordan Army Forces-Arab Army (JAF) to consider requests and fulfill priority demands.

Priority projects will be funded through the Royal Hashemite Court, in partnership with concerned authorities and civil society institutions, he highlighted. He noted that throughout the years, the Royal Hashemite Court has implemented many multi-sector projects through Royal initiatives in all regions of the Central Badia.

The Royal initiatives will focus on job-providing projects, he added, calling on people, especially associations, to submit any ideas and proposals pertaining to development projects complemented by feasibility studies, to help examine the possibility of financing them.
