Jerash Tourism Marathon to kick off Friday

AMMAN — The first Jerash Tourism Marathon is scheduled to begin on Friday, with the participation of five Jordanian universities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
Jerash Tourism Director Bassam Tobat said that the marathon is the first of several activities that will be conducted in partnership with the local community and its institutions, as well as university students.
The marathon will pass by the Hadrian’s Arch, the Oval Plaza, the Southern and Northern Theatres and back to the Hadrian’s Arch. Regarding tourists rates, Tobat noted that they have increased by 8 per cent this year.
