JFDA teams seize various amounts of spoiled food

AMMAN — Inspection teams at the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) have seized 625 tonnes of mortadella, from a factory in southern Amman, JFDA said Thursday.

Factory workers were mixing five tonnes of spoiled meat with the meat for the mortadella, according to JFDA.

The administration's teams also seized 350 containers of fake olive oil in Sweileh and Zarqa, in addition to 30 tonnes of pickled olives unfit for human consumption.

They also seized around 200 kilogrammes of rotten cheese in Amman.
