Jordan hosting int’l gendarmerie conference

AMMAN — Gendarmerie Department Director Maj.

Gen. Ahmad Sweilmin on Wednesday inaugurated a meeting of the human resources commission of member countries in the Association of the European and Mediterranean Police Forces and Gendarmeries with Military Status.

During the three-day meeting, hosted by the Gendarmerie Department, representatives of police and gendarmerie forces from several countries are discussing ways to strengthen cooperation and face challenges imposed by the switch to digital technology.

The Gendarmerie Department joined the association in 2010.
