Jordan hosts space exploration, innovation workshop

AMMAN — A scientific workshop on global partnership in space exploration and innovation started on Monday in Amman, with more than 100 experts and scientists from over 35 countries.
The workshop, organised by the Amman-based Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology for West Asia, aims at facilitating and boosting the exchange of expertise related to space sciences and exploration, and benefitting from the knowledge of participating space scientists, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
ICT Minister Muthanna Gharaibeh, who inaugurated the four-day event on behalf of Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, referred to the achievement of a group of Jordanian students who designed and launched the first Jordanian cube satellite, JY1.
