AMMAN — Jordan and Iraq on Tuesday agreed to coordinate efforts to ensure the continuation of Jordanian exports of fruits and vegetables.

At a meeting, Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi and Iraq’s Ambassador to Jordan Jawad Abbas discussed continuing trade movement despite problems faced at the border by Iraqi truck drivers.

At present, 20 to 25 trucks laden with fruits and vegetables enter Iraq on a daily basis.
