Jordan sends aid to refugees in Kurdistan

AMMAN — Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, the army on Friday dispatched a C130 military aircraft laden with humanitarian assistance to Erbil in Iraq.
The assistance, which is bound for refugees hosted by Iraq’s Kurdistan autonomous region, included food supplies, drinking water, blankets, and medical and children supplies.
The assistance came as part of Jordan’s efforts to support people who are going through difficult humanitarian conditions, said an official statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
