AMMAN — Interior Ministry Secretary General Samir Mubaideen on Thursday met with Palestinian Awqaf Minister Yousef Edais to discuss the procedures and facilities required to receive Palestinian pilgrims travelling through Jordanian crossing points to Mecca for Hajj (the greater Muslim pilgrimage).

Mubaideen said all necessary procedures are in place to ensure the smooth entry of Palestinian pilgrims to Jordan and then to Saudi Arabia.

Edais said around 3,600 Palestinian pilgrims are expected to arrive in Jordan in mid-September.
