Judeh, Qasimi discuss Syrian refugee crisis

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and UAE Minister of International Cooperation and Development Sheikha Lubna Qasimi on Monday discussed ways to boost cooperation and coordination, as well as the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan.
Judeh thanked the UAE for supporting Jordan, stressing that that the international community should shoulder its responsibility to help the country pursue its humanitarian mission.
Judeh reaffirmed Jordan’s position calling for a political solution to the crisis in Syria that can end the humanitarian plight and ensure the return of the refugees to their homeland.
Qasimi expressed her appreciation of the Jordanian role in hosting Syrian refugees and providing them with shelter.
