King meets US vice president

WASHINGTON, DC — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with US Vice President Mike Pence and discussed means to bolster the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US.
At the meeting, which was attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania and Second Lady Karen Pence and continued over dinner held in honour of Their Majesties and the accompanying delegation, discussions covered crises and issues in the Middle East and efforts to reach political solutions to end them.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar attended the meeting.
