Labour minister meets Turkish unionist

AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Thursday discussed the role of unions and ways to boost bilateral relations with President of the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions Mahmoud Arslan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, attended by President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions Mazen Maaytah and senior officials from the Labour Ministry, Ghezawi highlighted the importance of professional associations and unions in instilling the principles of union work in a way that boosts the rights of workers and employers alike. For his part, Arslan voiced hope to increase cooperation through visits by the heads and members of unions and syndicates.
