Prince Ali affirms support for Palestinian sports

AMMAN — HRH Prince Ali, president of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), on Monday stressed Jordan’s continued support for Palestinian sports and football.

Prince Ali's remarks came after he received a letter of appreciation from President of the Palestinian Football Association Gen. Jibril Rajoub for his attendance at the inauguration ceremony of the Pelé Stadium in Palestine last week, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In a letter to Rajoub, Prince Ali stressed his keenness to share all occasions with Palestinians, as a gesture of the Kingdom's support for  the Palestinian people and their just causes.

Prince Ali also affirmed that he attaches great importance to the success of any event or tournament in the Palestinian territories. The prince added that the JFA's continued support to Palestine reflects Jordan's historical relations with Palestine.
