AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) on Monday adjourned the Rakban attack trial after hearing testimony from 11 witnesses.
In June 2016, a car bomb attack on an army post near Rakban refugee camp killed seven Jordanian soldiers and injured 11. One of the witnesses was the forensic doctor who examined the seven bodies, and confirmed that the seven died as a result of the explosion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Among the other witnesses was an explosives expert who said that the blast was caused by a car containing military and manufactured explosives. Defendants and their legal representation asked for a grace period to present their defence statement, with the SSC adjourning the session until next week.
