Rise in temperatures, dry conditions forecast until Monday

AMMAN — A rise in temperatures is expected in the coming days across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported quoting the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Temperatures on Sunday are set to rise by six to eight degrees above their annual average. Dry and hot conditions will prevail in all parts of the Kingdom, while wind will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate.
Weather in the next two days will be dry and hot and wind will be northwesterly moderate in all parts of the Kingdom, the report added.
Temperatures on Sunday will reach a high of 38oC in Amman, dropping to 22oC at night. In northern areas, they will range between a high of 36oC and a low of 20oC. In southern areas, they will range between a high of 35oC and a low of 18oC.
In Aqaba, maximum temperature will hit 42oC, dropping to 29oC at night.
The JMD warned the public to avoid direct exposure to the sun, especially at peak hours, and not to leave children alone in closed vehicles.
People are also encouraged to drink a lot of liquids, especially water.
