Snow falls on southern heights, closes roads in Tafileh

AMMAN — The Kingdom was affected on Wednesday by a weather depression, which brought around 10cm of snowfall on southern mountainous areas, especially in Tafileh Governorate, 180km southwest of Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The accumulating snow closed some roads leading to Bseira district and the southern village of Qadisia, which were later opened by Civil Defence Department vehicles.
The snowfall was accompanied by brisk winds and thick fog.
