Tarawneh, Nigerian senator discuss security cooperation, Palestine

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday received Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman of the Nigerian senate Basheer Abdul Azziz, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Tarawneh stressed the need for coordination with African parliaments to help Palestinians achieve their legitimate rights and establish an independent state.
He also affirmed the Lower House’s keenness for cooperation with international parliaments to create solution for the Palestinian issue and the fight against terrorism.
Abdul Azziz reaffirmed his country’s desire to enhance cooperation with Jordan and highlighted Nigerian efforts against terrorist groups such as Boko Haram.
