AMMAN — The State Security Court in a public session on Tuesday found two men guilty of attempting to carry out acts of terrorism. They were sentenced to between 8-15 years of hard labour each, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The first defendant was convicted of attempting to establish an organisation to carry out acts of terrorism. According to Petra, the first defendant convinced the second man to modify a small airplane to carry explosive devices meant for an attack.
A female suspect was also sentenced to a year for failing to report the defendants to police when she uncovered their intentions.
