Top achievers in 2016 British secondary certificate in Jordan honoured

AMMAN — Deputising for Her Majesty Queen Rania, Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat on Monday attended a ceremony to honour winners of the Queen Rania Award for Excellence in Education for students of the 2016 British secondary certificate.

British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden praised Jordan's educational system and efforts to develop it, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He added that the British school programme is among the oldest worldwide, and it was introduced in Jordan in 1960.
