AMMAN — An estimated 50,000 vehicles across the Kingdom have undergone preventive winter inspection since the beginning of the winter campaign, until Sunday.
Vehicles which passed the examination have been marked with a sticker to show their accordance with safety requirements, while drivers who failed to fulfil the safety requirements were given a one-week notice to prepare their vehicles for winter and prove their vehicles’ readiness at a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department centre.
Traffic patrols continue to detect a number of serious violations threatening public safety, such as carrying passengers in cargo compartments in freight vehicles and driving without a driver’s licence.
