Water minister, German ambassador open training centre in water sector

AMMAN — Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Najjar and German Ambassador Bernhard Kampmann on Monday inaugurated the ministry's regional training centre.

Najjar said that the centre had undergone rehabilitation and expansion in cooperation with the German government as part of the technical and vocational education project in the water sector with a cost of one million euros, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He added that the centre will serve as a training facility to provide the national, Arab and regional water sectors with modern scientific expertise and talents according to the best international criteria. The minister noted that the centre was established in 1994 as part of the ministry’s endeavours to develop the capabilities of workers in the water sector.
