Work under way to prepare plan to turn Jordan into ICT hub

AMMAN — The council of public-private sector partnership on Monday agreed to revive the initiative of developing the ICT sector (REACH Initiative), review previous and current ICT strategies, and combine them into one document, ICT Minister Majd Shweikeh said.

The envisioned document would represent the executive plan to achieve the “Jordan as a regional centre for ICT” vision, Shweikeh said, stressing the government’s keenness to turn the Kingdom into a centre for ICT industries.
