AMMAN — Some 25 journalists and media personnel on Saturday took part in a specialised workshop on legal protection of media personnel.
Held by the Centre for Defending the Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ), the workshop sought to develop reporters’ skills and knowledge of laws governing their profession, according to CDFJ Director Nidal Mansour.
Participants at the training, supported by the Canadian foreign ministry’s grants programme, focused on media crimes and the legal framework of news websites and social media networks.
