AMMAN — An estimated 360,000 vehicles across the Kingdom have undergone preventive winter inspection since the beginning of the winter campaign, representatives of the traffic department and the Royal Department for Environment Protection (Rangers) said on Wednesday.
In their remarks to Amen FM, the representatives said that the campaign aims to ensure that vehicles meet safety requirements for winter.
Vehicles that passed the examination have been marked with a sticker to show their accordance with safety requirements, while drivers who failed to fulfil the safety requirements were given a one-week notice to prepare their vehicles for winter and prove their vehicles’ readiness at a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department centre, the Public Security Directorate said on Wednesday.
