AMMAN — Education is the main measure of progress for Arab countries, and the measure of a nation’s progress and development, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh said on Saturday, during his inauguration ceremony as the honorary president of the Jordanian-Iraqi Amity Assembly, attended by HRH Princess Sanaa Assem.

Abu-Ghazaleh pointed to the historic relations between Jordan and Iraq and the convergent stances, saying that the coming period will witness a boom in relations between the two countries. Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia Al Suhail stressed the importance of supporting charitable work and the role played by the assembly.

She called for activating the recent economic agreements between Jordan and Iraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
