AND deals with 19,500 drug cases in 2019

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) in 2019 dealt with some 19,500 drug cases and 1,580 drug abusers visited the treatment centre affiliated with the department, Irbid AND Director Maj. Nader Bdour said on Saturday.
During a symposium organised by the Family and Child Protection Society in Irbid, Bdour said that there are three centres that offer free treatment for addicts, one at the AND headquarters, a second affiliated with the Health Ministry and a third in the private sector.
He said that AND also works on raising awareness through conferences, brochures and the Internet, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
