AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Friday condemned the terrorist attack on a military convoy in the Indian part of Kashmir.
On his Twitter account, Safadi offered the Kingdom’s condolences to the Indian government and victims’ families, saying that terrorism is a “common enemy”.
At least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in Indian-administered Kashmir, in the deadliest attack on government forces there since 2002.
Jordan on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a number of soldiers near the province of Sistan-Baluchistan in south-eastern Iran.
In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah offered the Kingdom’s condolences to the Iranian government and victims’ families.
He also stressed that the Kingdom will remain at the forefront of international efforts aimed at combating terrorism.
A suicide bomber killed 27 members of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard last Wednesday in a south-eastern region where security forces are facing a rise in attacks by militants from the country’s Sunni Muslim minority, Reuters reported, citing Iranian state media.
