AMMAN — Several residents of Karak Governorate held a sit-in on Friday near the governor’s office in east Karak in protest against the “frequent disruption” of water supply to their houses.
The protesters said Karak water authorities were not implementing the weekly distribution programme properly, claiming that some households wait two weeks until they receive water.
Water Ministry Spokesperson Omar Salameh said the ministry is following up on all the complaints it receives, adding that the disruptions in Karak’s water supply were due to malfunctions in the water network.
