AMMAN — Authorities have dealt with trespassing on Treasury land in Faisalieh, Madaba Governor Mohammad Smeiran said on Monday.
A citizen had fenced and planted in Treasury-owned land in the area, Smeiran said, adding that building, planting or fencing any Treasury land was forbidden and would not be tolerated, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Meanwhile, Smeiran said sheep pens in the governorate, for Eid Al Adha (the Muslim feast of the sacrifice), could only be installed in the craft area and cattle market. He stressed that cattle sacrifice is banned on the streets, and is only allowed in municipal slaughterhouses where health standards are applied.
