Authorities remove 40 violations on Treasury-owned land

AMMAN — The state property committee in Zarqa, on Thursday, removed 40 violations on Treasury-owned land with the aid of security personnel and employees of the ministries of public works and municipal affairs.

The committee removed 28 rooms, six sheep barns and six cement pillars, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Zarqa Governor Muhammad Smeiran said that violations on Treasury land represent a crime that is punishable by law, stressing the need to deal with them firmly. Smeiran said that any attack on state-owned land shall be demolished immediately, with violators to face legal and administrative procedures.
