AMMAN — The Ministry of Agriculture on Sunday stated that any housing violation on state-registered, treasury-owned woodlands with less than 5-per-cent green area density, after 2002, will be removed, and that the inhibitors of the properties will be fined the entire expense of removal, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to Article 27 (C) of the State Property Law, the state is authorised to manage any properties on state-owned forest land built after 2002, with the approval of the council of ministers.
Legal measures may be taken against violators. Notably, the provisions of the law exempt illegal housing built before 2002 of the above penalties, according to Petra.
