Parliament, gov’t hold meeting to follow up on Royal directives

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, Senate President Faisal Al Fayez and Lower House Speaker Abdulminem Oddat, on Sunday held a meeting, during which they emphasised the implementation of the Royal visions and directives mentioned in His Majesty's interview with the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Saturday.

They stressed bolstering cooperation and complementarity between the legislative and executive authorities to translate Royal visions into “a tangible reality”, whether in terms of developing public administration and improving the level of services to citizens, or with regard to issues pertaining to the establishment of the rule of law, self-reliance and the development of election, political parties, and the local administration laws.

It was agreed during the meeting that the government, Senate and the Lower House would carry out the necessary communication with civil society institutions, municipalities, local communities and political parties to work on developing legislations governing the political life
