AMMAN — The Council of Ministers on Wednesday held its regular meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, at the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management.
The premier stressed the important role of the centre, created upon Royal directives, to act as a specialised national entity that deals with crises, guarantees the highest level of coordination among concerned state institutions and unifies their efforts.
Ensour said the Cabinet meeting was held at the centre in light of its “leading role”, mainly in addressing various developments and forecasting economic, social and security crises that threaten the Kingdom’s national security.
Ensour announced that representatives of all concerned bodies that dealt with the recent blizzard will meet on Thursday to evaluate the centre’s performance over the past few days.
At the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed on the centre’s role during the snowstorm.
