AMMAN — The USAID Jordan Competitiveness Programme (USAID-JCP) and the Association for Energy, Water and Environment (EDAMA) on Tuesday announced a special partnership to support Jordanian women working in the clean energy sector, according to a USAID statement.
“The signing of this agreement is aligned with EDAMA’s objective of providing a suitable environment for the green economy to thrive through supplying the Jordanian labour market with qualified people,” the statement quoted EDAMA CEO Yara Abdel Samad as saying during USAID’s second Clean Energy cluster meeting.
Kicking off this partnership, USAID-JCP sponsored nine women in the first Certified Energy Manager course held last month, the statement said.
